This past Saturday was beautiful, cloudy and overcast at times, but a very comfortable and cool day. With the market getting full of customers and getting close to dinner time, we had just decided to go into the market to find something to eat. All of a sudden a vendor ran into the office stating a deer was walking inside the market, as I went for my digital camera, another vendor came rushing in saying the deer was inside an area for patrons to sit and eat. When I arrived at the eating area the startled doe was attempting to leave the area, but couldn't find the opening as she kept jumping at the wall and moving from left to right and vice versa. She kept doing this for at least five minutes with no avail. One of the employees attempted to grab the doe and assist it outside, but the doe was to strong for him to grab her. Finally the doe turned around and ran outside through a door into our Midway, ran behind some vendors and ran back and forth again trying to get away. She finally turned around, ran towards Door One and quickly made a right turn and again ran inside the market at Door Two, made a left turn and ran up to the West wing, somehow made another left turn and ran outside, crossed our driveway,and ran up to our fence on the West parking lot. There she made several attempts to jump the fence but couldn't make it, she made a very fast turn to her left and ran towards the South end and made an exit into the woods where she will join a family of Deer. I never got a picture on my digital camera, the doe was just to fast for me, now i know how it feels when a hunter tries to shoot a deer and misses his shot as I missed mine.
