DEAL ME IN GAMES: A quartet of gaming friends, including Mike Smith, who previously owned a game store in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, Jason Koresko, Michael Coyle and Thomas Michael, have teamed up to open an 'Alternative Universe' at Zerns. These guys have created a safe, wholesome atmosphere for gaming buffs, a first in the Boyertown area. Check out the elaborate choices: Stock includes sealed products from the manufacturer Wizards of the Coast, Nintendo and Konami, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, The Gathering, Magic and more. Sharon Armstrong, the new owner of FishTails is a good match for the discerning seafood aficionado. Launched in the fall of 2011 at Zerns, Sharon's net is anchored full of interesting seafood items for sale. You can purchase Imperial Crab Cakes, Seafood Salads, "Old Bay' peel-n-eat shrimp and other delicious fresh fish items. A thirty year resident of Boyertown, Sharon, has a background in the travel industry and has sailed to many a foreign port, which helps to create an interesting dimension to her seafood recipes and homemade items. Tagua Jewelry
TAGUA NUT JEWELRY: Tagua Jewelry has traveled all the way to Zerns from the blooms and nuts of a shadowy palm found in the steamy tropics in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. For centuries, the tagua nut has been carved into religious icons and used for Japanese netsukes. Today, the tagua is fashioned into beautiful necklaces, and embellished and carved in fantastic designs.
You can buy these unique items from vendor, LeeAnne Holmes. The prices are reasonable and the designs varied, from bright colors in flat slices ($12 and up) to unisex jewelry and all kinds of necklaces and bracelets handcrafted in the Andes by Quecha Indians of Ecuador and Peru. You will also find
